FAQ

Q. I can't connect to the cloud.
A. Check your internet connection by opening a browser. If you are connecting through wifi, there are some instances where SW Pro will not connect. Your phone's standard data connection will always work. The amount of data transfered is very small.

Q. I am experiencing major problems with SW Pro.
A. Please update to the latest version. If that does not fix you issue, backup to card, unistall app, then reinstall. Select Yes when asked if you want to restore database. If that still does not fix your issue, contact support@taulapps.com immediately!

Q. I have SW Pro on my spouses and my phones, and I am having trouble setting up the auto sync.
A. Please go to the help screen and select Help Page link, or go to the Cloud Manager screen, press the menu button on your phone , then select Help.

Q. I just updated app, and now all my colors are gone.
A. Go to Tools > Options. Set 'Display Format'. Option defaults to 'Time Only' the first time updated from 2.0.43 or less.

Q. I only use manually entered shifts, and all the shifts I add are the same color. Whats wrong?
A. Nothing is wrong. There is a color setting for manual shifts that sets all manual shifts the same. This is useful for someone that works a continuous rotation because it makes all the manual shifts stand out. To turn off, go to TOOLS, SETUP, COLOR CODING, and uncheck the enable for Manual Shifts. Now all the manual shifts will use the colors set for each different shift.

Q. Just wondering if there is a way to show a distinction between shifts with the same times but different duties?
A. With the 'show description' option for shifts, you could make different shifts like: 1. 7:00AM - 7:00PM with description, "SHIFT A" 2. 7:01AM - 7:00PM with description, "SHIFT B" check the show 'Show Description' option. If your start time is 1 minute difference, they are different shifts to Shift Worker. 1 minute shouldn't matter. You could also set the colors different or use different icons.

Q. Why can't I move backwards on calendar? I can only go back to the 1st of the current month.
A. Select the jump icon (blue arrow), then select any date (up to a year in the past).

Q. I have my shift colors set, but they are not what I set them to. What is wrong?
A. Nothing. Go to TOOLS, OPTIONS and set the display mode to one of the color modes.

Q. I am trying to edit an event and repeat it weekly, but it does not create repeat events. Why isn't it working?
A.It is. Repeat events are only added when you are creating a new one.

Q. My phone crashes every time I try to start Shift Worker. Can you please help?
A.There is a known issue on versions less than 2.0.90. If the current month's 1st day falls on a Sunday, and the first day of week option is set for Monday. The app will crash. The problem has been fixed in versions 2.0.90 and up.

Q. I got a new phone. How do I get my information back?
A.You need to add the account (gmail email account) to your new phone that you purchased SW Pro under. All of your apps paid for using that account will be available to download from Play Store. If you have the correct account, search for taulapps and select the SW Pro app. You will see button that says "Install", not "Buy". Then just install. If you had your database backed up to SW Cloud account, you can login to it and restore your database to your new phone..
